TOPIC: WHAT IS PRAISE?
TEXT: JOHN 9:31
Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
WORDS OF WISDOM:
Genuine praise is what brings about great results for the praiser.
For any man to carry the presence of God he must be a genuine and authentic worshipper, who knows the true meaning of praise and worship.
Prov 3:13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
Any endeavour that is embarked upon without understanding may end in futility.
Praise is about creating an atmosphere for God to dwell and operate.
Ps 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
A hard spiritual atmosphere is a product of poor praise and worship. Ps 68:24-25. God will perform but you need to create an atmosphere for Him to perform for you.
Praise is a proclamation of great and powerful works of God in heaven, on earth and in the lives of men.
Amos 4:5 And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim and publish the free offerings: for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord God.
This can be done through various postures in clapping, singing, dancing, etc.
Praise and worship is a sincere attitude of humility, respect, reverence and fear of the Lord.
Ps 95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.
Praise and worship is what we do to allow Jesus to occupy the throne of our lives.
ASSIGNMENT
1. Turn away from unholy living.
2. Make praise and worship a lifestyle.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Father, I thank you for the revelation knowledge of your word praise in the name of Jesus.
2. Father, I make demand that you clothe me with garment of praise and worship in the name of Jesus.
3. Father, as I praise you today, turn mourning and weeping in my life to dancing and celebration in the name of Jesus.
4. Father, by the power of praise, all my efforts shall produce amazing results in all areas in the name of Jesus.
5. Father, let everyone around me begin to see your amazing and wonderful works in my destiny in the name of Jesus.
6. Father, let all our business and career members receive global recognition in all their endeavours this year in the name of Jesus.
7. Father, let there be permanent solution to issues that are distracting me in the place of praise and worship in the name of Jesus.
8. Father, let all our newcomers and new converts begin to enjoy the mandate of this commission in the name of Jesus.
9. Father, let the zeal of your house consume every member of this Heavenly Jerusalem thereby enjoying supernatural blessings in the name of Jesus.
10. Father, continue to work with your servants Pastor Matthew and Pastor (Mrs) Mary Morakinyo for greater and amazing results in the name of Jesus.
The Senior Pastor’s Prophetic Declaration:
As you praise God today, your breakthrough shall be unlimited in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
