TOPIC: ENEMIES OF PROGRESS.
TEXT: JOHN 5:2-3
Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
WORDS OF WISDOM:
Until you identify the reason behind your delay you may not make meaningful progress.
Delay is an enemy of destiny which is the purpose of your creation. Anything that is stopping your progress in life is working against the will of God for you because our God hates delay. Deut. 1:6 The Lord our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:
To deal with delay, you must recognize enemies of progress and attack them and conquer them.
A negative company is an enemy of progress. Keeping the wrong company can cause a man to suffer delay in the journey of destiny, but when you are with the right set of people in life you fly.
Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Anyone who is against your God-given dream is an enemy of your destiny, separate yourself from them.
Missing opportunities and seasons in life is an enemy of progress. There are times, seasons and opportunities that God has set before man, if anyone misses, it will cause delay.
Luke 19:41. And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
Jesus weeps when a man misses his time of visitation.
Lack of helpers in life is an enemy of progress. To have a helper in life is to move faster and perform better in life. John 5:7. The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
What you can survive in life depends on the quality of helpers that are available to you.
ACTION STEPS.
- Invite Jesus into your life.
- Ask for divine intervention and direction.
PRAYER POINTS.
- Father, I thank you for exposing the enemy of progress unto me today in the name of Jesus.
- Father, I break free from the association of stagnation in all areas of my life and destiny in the name of Jesus.
- Father, expose everyone and anything that is against your will and purpose for my life, thereby moving my life to next level in the name of Jesus.
- Father, deliver me and my destiny from power that makes great opportunity to slip off my hands in the name of Jesus.
- Powers and principalities responsible for missing lots and failure at the edge of breakthrough in my life expire now in the name of Jesus.
- Father, send helpers of destiny to me and move me to my next levels this month in the name of Jesus.
- Powers that are making me to count age without and tangible change, your time is up expire in the name of Jesus.
- Father, let there be quick performance of your word, promises and prophecies over my life in the name of Jesus.
- Father, please turn the mourning of all our waiting parents into dancing and celebration before the end of this year in the name of Jesus.
- Father, continue to reveal yourself afresh unto your son Pastor Matthew Morakinyo thereby resulting to supernatural results in every aspect of his ministry in the name of Jesus.
