TOPIC: WHY CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS?
TEXT: LUKE 2:13-14.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
WORDS OF WISDOM:
Until you know why you cannot derive full benefits of any engagement.
Sometimes we can be busy in preparing for Christmas and Jesus will be left behind. Luke 2:43. And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not [of it]. It is very important to know the reason why we are rejoicing. The reason behind this period’s celebration all over the world is JESUS CHRIST.
We are celebrating Christmas because Jesus came to save the world. Luke 2:11. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Jesus came 100% as God and 100% as a man to save man from the power of sin and death. Gen 1:26. Matt 1:20-22,
Psa 119:67, John 3:16. Jesus has paid the price for our salvation once and for all.
We are celebrating the birth of Jesus that brought us healing, health and wholeness. Matt. 8:17. That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare [our] sicknesses. The blood that saved you from sin is what delivered you from the power of sickness.
We are celebrating the presence of God that Jesus brought.
Matt 1:23. Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
The presence of Jesus brought hope, prosperity, deliverance and eternal life with God at the end.
ASSIGNMENT
1. Let Jesus be born in your heart today.
2. Spend the season with Jesus.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Father, I thank you for sending your only Son for the sake of the deliverance of humanity in the name of Jesus.
2. Father, the purpose and reason for this season shall not be in vain in my life in the name of Jesus.
3. Father, I come against powers and situation that want to distract me from my goal and focus in the name of Jesus.
4. Father, let the reason for your Son coming to this world become a reality in my life and destiny in the name of Jesus.
5. Father, this season we refuse to lose any member of our family from the blood sucking demons that are in operation in the name of Jesus.
6. Father, let the ear of every unsaved soul in all our harvest fields continue to hear compelling sound of the Holy Ghost and be drafted into this Church in the name of Jesus.
7. Father, we make a demand that your blood shall deliver everyone connected to this altar from the grip of sickness and infirmity in the name of Jesus.
8. Father, let reason for this season terminate lack, scarcity and want in my life and family in the name of Jesus.
9. Father, please turn the mourning of all our waiting mothers to dancing this month in the name of Jesus.
10. Father, open a new chapter of higher grace, anointing and power unto your servants Pastor Matthew and Pastor (Mrs) Mary Morakinyo for greater works and fulfilment of destiny in the name of Jesus.
The Senior Pastor’s prophetic declaration:
From every challenge that the enemies have brought to your door step you and your family are finally out in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
This day will be the best Christmas so far in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
