TOPIC: PURPOSE OF FASTING
TEXT: ISAIAH 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
WORDS OF WISDOM:
Every commandment of God is for the benefit of man.
If the purpose of a thing is not known abuse is inevitable.
Isa 58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? When there is a full understanding of an exercise there is the possibility of maximizing all the benefits.
We fast to build spiritual energy and supernatural strength.
Isa. 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Without fasting and prayer man may go flatten. If you don’t want to be weak you must be ready fast.
We fast for spiritual empowerment and upgrade.
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Spiritual power is real and it is what makes us conquer devils and their agents.
We fast to deal with stubborn problems and situations. Some mountains will not move unless you go the extra length in fasting and prayer.
Matt 17:20-21 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
When you add fasting to your prayer you will gain the energy to deal will stubborn problems.
ASSIGNMENT
Be purposeful about your next fasting.
Pray and study the word of God more.
PRAYER POINTS
1.Father, I thank you for the revelation knowledge of your word in the name of Jesus.
2.Father, I ask that from now on I shall begin and continue to enjoy the benefits of fasting in the name of Jesus.
3.Father, I receive spiritual energy to conquer every devil waiting for me in my next level in the name of Jesus.
4.Father, we ask that mountain of difficulties manifesting in lives of all our newcomers and new converts to disappear in the name of Jesus.
5.Arrows of weakness and weariness fired against my life from the pit of hell return back to sender in the name of Jesus.
6.Agents of darkness assigned against my life to bring me down spiritually, summersault and die in the name of Jesus.
7.Father, I command every mountain of financial hardship before me to be removed in the name of Jesus.
8.Father, in this season of fasting and prayer, open my heaven and there be answer to all my prayers in the name of Jesus.
9.Father, let the arrow of empty handedness manifesting in the lives of all our business and career members expire today in the name of Jesus.
10.Father, we ask that you renew the unction of your servant Pastor Matthew Morakinyo for the next and greater phase of this assignment thereby making the Church to shift in levels to the glory of your name in the name of Jesus.
The Senior Pastor’s prophetic declaration:
