TOPIC: DEALING WITH AVERAGE MENTALITY:
TEXT: 1 KINGS 19:4.
But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.
WORDS OF WISDOM:
Your mentality determines your reality.
Average mentality is an enemy of manifestation that makes people not realize their full potential in life and destiny.
Such people will not engage themselves in what is required at the critical stage of life.
People with this attitude never take life seriously.
They just settle down with barely enough but they never know that arrival too soon is arrival too small.
If you must reach the full manifestation of potential that God has for you, stretching yourself will be inevitable. Luke 12:50. If the Son of God has to stretch Himself in order to accomplish God’s agenda for His life, we have no option but to comply with the baptism of stretching.
Apostle Paul followed in that line and he excelled. The secret however is to go beyond the average, cross the lines of mediocrity and go for greater goals. I Cor. 10:9-10. When you have an excellent mentality, you are tough on yourself; you are a law to yourself without requiring external supervision.
Too much sleep both physical and spiritual, expose you to risks. Pro. 6:10.
Eph. 5:14. No matter your age, position and title, anywhere in the world, don’t give excuses and spare yourself.
The newsmakers all over the world work beyond closing hours, they go the extra mile, they stretch themselves and they reach their goals.
The average people give excuses for every failure, they find who to blame, they honour impossibilities and they also disciple others.
Their mates and juniors leave them behind in the race of life. They always need encouragement over issues and many of them have become victims of personal destruction.
ASSIGNMENT
Surrender your vision to God.
Make up your mind not to settle for less.
PRAYER POINTS.
1. Father, we thank you for adding another glorious year to the years of your son Pastor Matthew Morakinyo today and we praise you for the beautiful years ahead in the name of Jesus.
2. Father, we make a demand that the trinity will continue to work and walk with Pastor Matthew Morakinyo and family in the name of Jesus.
3. Father, we make a demand that you continue to protect and preserve the life and destiny of your children Pastor Matthew and Pastor (Mrs) Mary Morakinyo so as to continue to make more impacts in life and in ministry in the name of Jesus.
4. Father, we make a demand that you continue to divinely favour your son Pastor Matthew Morakinyo in every aspect of life in the name of Jesus.
5. Father, we make a demand that you rapidly spread the work and ministry you gave to your son all over this nation and the entire world in the name of Jesus.
6. Father, we make a demand that you empower your son Pastor Matthew Morakinyo to deliver unto this generation, the mandate of deliverance, rescue, restoration and mobile fire without struggle in the name of Jesus.
7. Father, I command mediocre spirit waging war against my God-given vision to die by fire in the name of Jesus.
8. Father, every power that wants to stop me where my parents stopped, you are a liar, expire in the name of Jesus.
9. Father, I command average mentality working against the manifestation of my expectation, expire by fire in the name of Jesus.
10. Father, we make a demand that you make GCIC twenty-two thousand membership-strong before the end of this year in the name of Jesus.
The Senior Pastor’s prophetic declaration:
Every good thing of life shall begin to work in your favour in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Today, favour and glory shall surround your life and family in Jesus mighty name.
